Shellac is a project of Steve Albini, the genius producer who mixed such albums as Pixies - Surfer Rosa, and he played in the landmark band Big Black, and Rapeman (who's members went on to form The Jesus Lizard). Shellac could be described as many things, but I'd call them technical post-punk with a bit of noise rock. Good stuff. These albums in the link are all my rips, so they're high quality.
